Vipers get hit by the Storm

The long, 4-hour bus journey took its toll on the Vipers as they fell 9-4 to the Streatham Storm.

Nottingham fell behind in the first minute of the game before bouncing back to level it at 1-1 with C. Jones pinching to set up Mullen. However, Streatham notched another two to take the first period 3-1.   A rough second period saw Streatham extend their lead by five despite the Vipers notching two more goals (Mullen and Cooke) as they capitalised on a couple powerplays due to a couple bad changes leading to “Too Many Men” penalties.

The Vipers finally found their legs in the third period only conceiving one goal and continuing to outshoot Streatham. Mullen scored in the third to complete the hat trick, however, it was not enough in the end to grab the win.

The Nottingham Vipers head out on the road again in search of their first win of the season on Sunday, October 25th to Chelmsford to faceoff against the Chelmsford Cobras at 12:30pm.
